At Radius, we are building cutting-edge products and services that transform and solve problems for US Real Estate Agents.
We are looking for an experienced and driven SDE 3 to join our front end team and help us scale our product to new heights.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Architect and Design Front-End Solutions:

    • Design scalable and maintainable front-end architectures for large, complex web applications.
    • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing user interfaces.
    • Make decisions regarding the best front-end frameworks, libraries, and tools to use based on the requirements of the project.
  2. Lead Front-End Development:

    • Lead the development of front-end features, ensuring they meet business requirements and provide an optimal user experience.
    • Manage and oversee the implementation of front-end best practices, coding standards, and design patterns across the team.
    • Work closely with back-end developers to ensure smooth integration between front-end and back-end systems.
  3. Code Quality & Performance Optimization:

    • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, often following modern JavaScript React frameworks 
    • Perform code reviews for peers and junior developers, offering constructive feedback.
    • Implement performance optimization strategies to ensure fast page loads, smooth user experiences, and accessibility across devices.
    • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness of web applications.
  4. Mentor and Train Team Members:

    • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers and help them grow their technical skills.
    • Foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment among team members.
    • Lead and organize technical discussions or learning sessions on emerging technologies or best practices.
  5. Collaboration with Stakeholders:

    • Work closely with CEO, product manager, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance.
    • Translate complex business and user requirements into technical solutions.
    • Ensure the front-end team delivers features and updates within the agreed timelines.
  6. Testing and Debugging:

    • Implement automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) for front-end components and features.
    • Troubleshoot and debug front-end issues, ensuring code is thoroughly tested and optimized.
    • Continuously monitor application performance and work to resolve bugs or issues in a timely manner.
  7. Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends:

    • Continuously learn and keep up with the latest trends in front-end development, tools, and frameworks.
    • Evaluate and adopt new technologies, libraries, or methodologies that could improve development efficiency or the user experience.

Key Skills and Technologies:

  • Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript with a familiarity of ES6 newer specifications
  • Strong Knowledge on applying test-driven development with Jest, Testing Library, and/or Enzyme
  • Proficient with Styled components, CSS3 preprocessors like SASS, and LESS
  • Experience in middlewares like Redux Thunk and Redux Saga
  • Understanding of CI / CD toolchain: Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Strong Knowledge on modern tools like webpack, yarn, npm, Grunt, Gulp, GIT
  • Experience in MVC driven Single page Application development
  • Experience with responsive web design, code optimization, cross browser compatibility and web standards like W3C
  • Good working knowledge of REST API

Experience and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2+ years in a senior technical role (SDE 3, Lead Engineer, etc.)
  • Experience in start up and product based company is a plus
  • A proven track record of delivering complex front-end applications and successfully leading projects.
  • Experience working with back-end teams and understanding full-stack development principles, although not necessarily involved in back-end coding.
