Location: Fully Remote (Real estate broker license required in CA; additional licenses preferred in CO, FL, GA, OR, TX, and/or WA)
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, tech-savvy Designated Broker to lead our brokerage operations and ensure compliance across multiple states. This position requires an active real estate broker's license in California and a strong focus on supporting agents, driving growth through innovative technology, and overseeing compliance standards.
The Designated Broker will be the face of the brokerage at industry events, serve as a mentor to over 200 agents, and collaborate with various departments to enhance the overall agent experience. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in leadership, compliance, and driving agent satisfaction in a fast-paced, tech-forward environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee compliance across multiple states, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
- Manage auditing and compliance teams, conducting reviews of contracts for legal and contractual compliance.
- Implement and train agents on tech-forward processes to improve transaction efficiency.
- Support and coach over 200 agents, providing guidance on transactions and dispute resolution.
- Represent the brokerage at industry events, contributing to business development.
- Ensure all brokerage activities comply with state and federal laws, REALTOR® standards, and MLS guidelines.
- Lead training initiatives to improve agents’ knowledge and foster continuous improvement.
- Assist marketing and sales teams with recruiting efforts for continuous growth.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:
- Active real estate broker’s license in CA (additional licenses preferred in CO, FL, GA, OR, TX, or WA).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a management role within a brokerage.
- Proven experience managing 200+ agents, with a focus on compliance and operational efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of real estate laws, HUD guidelines, NAR Code of Ethics, and MLS Rules & Regulations.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience in public speaking.
- Membership in the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
- Expertise in handling compliance and transaction-related issues.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or a related field.
- Experience working in a tech-forward brokerage.
- Prior experience with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Engineering).
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $150,000 - $250,000 (with performance-based bonuses)
